Relief Staff – Group Leaders and Assistants
We are always keen to add to our pool of relief staff so if you are qualified, or interested in working, in the childcare industry please let us know.
As the centre expands, or as current employees move on, there is also the opportunity to move into a permanent position from the relief pool.
Employment and Training
At 121 Childcare we recognise that our staff are Early Childhood Educators. Where possible 121 Childcare employs qualified staff and all staff meet minimum staffing requirements under Section 24 of the Childcare Regulation (2003). All 121 Childcare staff are required to hold a current suitability notice issued by the Commission for Young People and Guardians as well as Certificates in First Aid and CPR.
121 Childcare is committed to providing in-service training and every member of staff is encouraged to participate in ongoing training and education. We offer several traineeships and provide study time during working hours to assist staff to complete and advance their qualifications.
Our well appointed staff room enables Staff to take a break, relax and refresh well away from their young charges thus reducing stress and ensuring that the time spent with the children is both fulfilling and rewarding. The study corner provided comes with computer, internet access and a well stocked library to assist staff with the achievement of their academic goals.
Paid programming time and rostered days off are just two of the incentives we offer our staff.
We are a new centre and still growing towards our full capacity of 150 places, new rooms are opened as demand in the area dictates. When fully operational, 121 Childcare will employ over 40 permanent, part-time and casual staff.
